Find Your Park

The National Park Service has organized a fantastic campaign called “Find Your Park.” It is well-known news by now that National Parks have a youth problem: just at Yellowstone National Park, the average age of visitors is 54. This trend includes the employees. Only 7% of employees at National Parks are 29 or younger. This is why I was so excited to hear that Obama just gave every fourth grader in the country a year-long family pass to National Parks. With the summer season approaching, I hope you will support your local National Park or go on a trip to visit a new one.

I had the great opportunity to visit the brand new Pullman National Monument last month. The perfect day trip for Chicagoans! My friends, this year let’s show our Parks that we CARE.
