The National Park Service has organized a fantastic campaign called “Find Your Park.” It is well-known news by now that National Parks have a youth problem: just at Yellowstone National Park, the average age of visitors is 54. This trend includes the employees. Only 7% of employees at National Parks are 29 or younger. This is why I was so excited to hear that Obama just gave every fourth grader in the country a year-long family pass to National Parks. With the summer season approaching, I hope you will support your local National Park or go on a trip to visit a new one.
